Queen Mary Dark Harbor
You will SCREAM and you will JUMP! Dark Harbor is a sight to see.
I traveled last year to find the Hottest spots in California during the month of October and Dark Harbor made the list! Queen Mary Dark Harbor is a hidden gem. It is unlike any other haunted attraction I have ever seen! It blew my expectations out of the ball park let me tell you.
I arrived at opening with VIP Passes and so much excitement. This place was lit up with glowing green and blue lights and fog everywhere! As I entered the park a sweet lady asked me if I had ever been here before and I told her it was my first time. She explained how everything worked and handed me some tokens that had clues on them to find hidden bars within the haunted houses. I can’t explain how interested and excited I was at that point. When I walked in this place was seriously glowing with neon lights, thick fog, food stands, shops, rides and entertainers everywhere. Oh and don’t forget Ghouls that jump out and scare you.
This place is for the extreme thrill seekers! You will actually walk through the Queen Mary Ship experiencing jumps and scares around every corner. It has also been told that the ship is haunted and people have experienced ghostly encounters throughout the years.
A Hidden Clue to a Secret Bar
Okay are you into solving puzzles and getting clues? If so you will love this place! There are people through out the park that have these secret tokens. Not everyone knows about them so you’re welcome for giving you the insider info. (Wink wink) If you get lucky a ghoul will give you one of these rare tokens. On the token there is a clue leading to a secret passage within the haunted houses. This passage leads you to a secret bar! So Cool I know right ? What is even cooler is that one of the bars I went to was actually in the underbelly of the ship. You take a spooky elevator down to this off limit area. You would not have access to this area if you were not at Dark Harbor with the secret token. So this was pretty EPIC! I’ll show the photos below. Also these bars had a unique drink to try for each location. Talk about exciting.
Okay let’s talk about food!
There are so many options when it came to food I was honestly impressed. All of these food stands were unique and had a spooky decorated theme. This place looks like something out of a movie that you wish was real. Luckily for you it exists. As you walk around picking out where you want to eat and drink there are these amazing live performances going on through out the park. From singing to acrobats this place will have you entertained within the fog and lights. Oh and don’t forget creepy ghouls that jump out and scare you.
I Highly recommend that you look up the ghostly activities that happened after the Queen Mary was docked. If you read the articles of the paranormal activity that happened on the ship before you enter it will give you an extra boost of excitement. There have been many encounters with strange activity that is reported and I encourage you to research it.
All of the photos here are taken from me within the park. The three photos above are in the depths of the ship which is part of one of the many haunted houses. If this doesn’t creep you out I don’t know what will. Luckily they serve alcohol to calm your nerves.
Halloween is just around the corner and I dare you to book a flight to California to experience the real haunted attraction. But if you do…. make sure you are prepared.
Haunters Beware…. You’re in for a SCARE!
