Sights to see in Seattle

Sights to see in Seattle

From the original Starbucks to the renovated Space needle Seattle has so much to experience when visiting.

Rachel’s Ginger Beer, Piroshki Piroshki

It was early in the spring when I decided to make a trip up to Seattle. I had no plan or agenda but knew that I wanted to stop at the pikes place market and pick up a piroshki at some point. It was exciting to say the least.

If you don’t live in Seattle then you should know that it is well known for its rainy days, Starbucks and Pikes Place Market! Well, lucky for you if you plan on sight seeing Pikes there is actually the Original Starbucks that you can visit.

Seattle in the Spring can be a hit or miss when we refer to the weather. Luckily the weather was sunny and I was able to catch some vitamin D. Once I arrived I found a close parking spot and made my way through the amazing Pikes Place Market.

Pikes Place Market

There are so many restaurant and bar options in the area along with different views.

I made my first stop at pikes flower shop where you can buy any sized bouquet in any color. I decided that I wanted flowers that would match any color so I bought a beautiful white bundle. After that I made my way through the market and out to Piroshki Piroshki. The line was out the door but that would not stop me from waiting. If you have never been here I recommend giving it a try. You have options from sweet pasteries to beef and onion. (Both are delicious.) After finally getting these scrumtious snacks I made my way to this minimalistic bar called Rachels Ginger Beer. Ya I know what your thinking; Amber loves Moscow Mules so of course she would end up there. Well you were right and it was a great choice. Here are some highlights of the bar

  • Simple ingredients are key for this place. They have fresh lemons, strong roots, organic cane sugar, and good water that is brought together and brewed to taste

  • The appearance inside is what I would call “instagramable” yea I know it’s not a word but it should be. With a very minimalistic vibe this bar is aesthetically pleasing. Plus they are partnered with several local farms.

  • Drinks are brewed with care and attention to detail, also offering original recipe.

After a snack and a drink I did made a few more stops before leaving. I found myself checking out some of the street performer acts. This includes juggling, Piano and we saw many singers. We also stopped by the gum wall, Magic shop, Pikes Brewing Company, and lastly grabbed a coffee from the original Starbucks. Seattle has so many sights to see, I hope you are inspired to make your own trip.
